They are ranked as high as No. 2 in the human polls — No. 3 in the Legends Poll. They have won 21 consecutive games and will likely finish another regular season undefeated.

Still, however, Boise State might be feeling blue.

In the latest BCS standings, Boise State was jumped by TCU and fell to No. 4. If TCU or Utah stays undefeated, then Boise State could be kept out of a BCS bowl altogether, forget the national championship game.

Legends LaVell Edwards and Bobby Ross watched the Broncos last week against Louisiana Tech and discussed how Boise may have suffered a major setback.

The Wildcats opened at No. 15 in the Legends Poll coming off a 31-24 win over No. 24 Iowa. UCLA legend Terry Donahue was at the game and gave a report to the Legends Poll voters on Monday’s conference call. Listen to his report below.

• Arizona’s environment really impressed Donahue.
• Donahue says he was surprised that the game was not a typical Iowa performance.
• Iowa could not run the ball or protect the quarterback.
• Iowa totally broke down in the kicking game.

• Psychologically, all of the advantage was on the side of Kansas.
• Turner Gill is a class act and the win against Georgia Tech was huge for his future.
• Georgia Tech is still a team that can win 9 or 10 games.
• If Kansas and Georgia Tech play 10 times, Georgia Tech might win seven times, but they couldn’t prevail in Lawrence.

• Meyer said one of the first calls he made when he was hired at Bowling Green was Don Nehlen.
• Nehlen said the Legends Poll voters believe the SEC Championship may decide the national championship.
• Meyer said the SEC is as tough as ever. He said the teams are knocking each other off.
• Nehlen asked Meyer if Florida can stop the running game of Alabama. Meyer said that McElroy has improved at quarterback and agreed the key is to stop Ingram and the running game.

• James said it means a lot to him that Saban is succeeding in his career.
• Saban said his team has struggled in rivalry games, but showed resiliency.
• Saban said the SEC Championship game is a one-game season.
• James said Florida’s defense is tough and Saban agreed.

• Dooley says he still would have hired Mark Richt if Paul Johnson was a candidate.
• Dooley: “You first have to learn how not to beat yourself before you learn how to beat somebody else.”
• Billingsley has a head-to-head rule in his computer system. If they have the same record, the team that won must be ranked higher.
• Billingsley’s rankings and the Legends Poll had Ole Miss higher than LSU this week.
