The Legends finally made the turn toward the Tide. Alabama, which quickly moved up the Legends Poll the first half of the season, passed Florida this week to take the top spot.
Just barely.
The Tide received nine first-place votes to Florida’s eight ….

Florida is No. 1 in the first Legends Poll of 2009. Whether Tim Tebow & Company are tops in their own conference, the coaching greats aren’t so sure. “If I’m Florida,” former Ohio State Coach John Cooper said, “I’m looking over my shoulder at Alabama.”
Legends Channel begins second season with Sporting News
The Legends Channel begins its second year of partnering with Sporting News to present the Legends Poll on a weekly basis. The first poll will be released the third weekend of the 2009 season.

Broyles Award Finalists for 2008
The Broyles Award, named after Arkansas Coaching Legend Frank Broyles, is given annually to college football’s top assistant coach. The award will be presented by the Downtown Rotary Club of Little Rock on December 9, at the Doubletree Hotel in Little Rock.
