Sporting News Today: Legends Like OU, ‘Bama

The Legends Poll moved Oklahoma to No. 1, after watching Oregon State defeat last week’s top team, USC, on Thursday evening in Corvallis.   ‘Bama rocketed up to No. 2 from No. 7.   Two of our coaching legends, Pat Dye and John Ralston, voted Alabama as the nation’s top team, after watching the Tide’s strong showing against an undefeated Georgia team between the hedges in Athens last Saturday night.
