The Alabama Crimson Tide came from behind to edge the Auburn Tigers 26-21 and remain unbeaten. With the game and season on the line, the Tide drove for 79 yards in 16 plays to go ahead with just 1:24 to play. In the final drive Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy remained poised and was 7 of 8 for 63 yards.
“That may have been one of the greatest drives I have ever been associated with in a fourth quarter to win the game,” Head coach Nick Saban said.
For his team’s great play, Jim McElwain is awarded the “Legends Nike Game Ball” for the National Offensive Coordinator of the Week.
