Game Ball: Houston’s Co-Offensive Coordinators Halgorsen and Phillips
By STAFF, LegendsChannel.com
The Houston Cougars outgunned and upset the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater 45-35. The Cougars exposed a highly-touted Cowboy defense and ran up a total of 512 yards of offense. Quarterback Case Keenum, was 32 of 46 for 366 yards and three touchdowns. An outstanding game plan of quick release passes and screens prevented the Cowboys’ defense from applying pressure to Keenum. This victory marks the Cougars’ first win against a top five opponent in twenty-five years.
For their team’s great play, Coaches Dana Holgorsen and Jason Phillips are both awarded the “Legends Nike Game Ball” for the National Co-Offensive Coordinators of the Week.
