Georgia Tech’s option offense proved too much for the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee, as they prevailed 49-44.  Head coach Paul Johnson, calling his own plays, kept the Noles guessing.  The Jackets rushed for 401 yards and never punted.  Tech quarterback Josh Nesbitt had three touchdowns rushing and one passing.

“Our problem was the wishbone, the kids just couldn’t figure it out,” Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden said. “We simply could not stop them.”

For their team’s great play, Paul Johnson and his offensive staff are awarded the “Legends Nike Game Ball” for the National Offensive Coordinator of the Week.
