In a hard fought game, the 2nd-ranked Texas Longhorns outlasted the Texas Tech Red Raiders 34-24. For the second year in a row, Jordan Shipley returned a punt for the Longhorns against the Red Raiders. This year, the 46-yard return came at a good time giving Texas a 7-3 lead, which was expanded to 10-3 at halftime. The punt return made a huge difference in momentum and the ten-point victory.
For his outstanding special teams play, Jordan Shipley is awarded the “Legends Nike Game Ball” for the Special Teams Player of the Week.
