Former coach R. C. Slocum will be inducted into the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday. The other inductees include Ricky Barker (track and field), Bobby Jack Gross (track and field), Daylan Holt (baseball), Jenna Moscovic (volleyball) and Vernon Smith (men’s basketball).
Slocum is the winningest coach in A & M history, with a 123-47-2 record from 1989-2002. Coach Sherman was Slocum’s offensive line coach two different times during his tenure, from 1989-93 and 1995-96.
“It wouldn’t be a Hall of Fame at A&M if R.C. wasn’t in it,” Coach Sherman said.
